Haha, trust you to come up with a literal shot:-) Great light! Nice to see there are some dust mites because I'm always struggling with lots of those;-)

In this case the dust was even intentional and hoped. I just had no time to make the table top to look like ground. Although, I now came to though I should have used coffee grounds...

The dust motes are there to make you feel superior, Gudrun. ;-)

Excellent and, as they always used to bang on at me in school, 'Rodker! ATQ!!' (answer the question!).
This you have manifestly done!

And here we have a "home made arranged setting" ;-) It was surprisingly difficult to get the composition and light as I planned, and it still is not good enough.

Miracle in this case is actually all the effort put on lighting. Thanks to powerful LED the ISO 250 is very good in order to avoid the noise. Although, it helped a lot to have a possibility to correct the Exposure Value (EV). Not necessarily common to have on older mobile phone camera software.

Why do some of us bother with expensive cameras when we can get results like this with a smart phone? Love the literal translation of 'low key'. :-))))

Sami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to Amelia club
I can come up with number of reasons. Mobile phones still can't provide good quality teleshots because digital zooming is still not good. The sensor still is small and pore compared to DSLR cameras, and definitely not a good dynamic range.

Moreover, also good enough camera phones are not cheap. Mine gives 24MP 20.7MP sensor, digital zoom somewhat possible thanks to that high maximum resolution, software for object tracking, and some manual settings. But it definitely was not cheap.

Plus I had to to buy those clip on lenses to get focused close enough to get something that even remotely looks as macro. Some of the additional lenses are cheap, but some are expensive.

BUT, it is mobile! I would not carry all the DSLR gear with me all the time, and not being able to submit and edit the results so easily "on the road" as I now can. Therefore I think the mobility is the best and most important feature.

The theme was too much technical for me !!! I am an amateur photographer and I love to be surprised by my camera lol !!!
Whatsoever your picture is well thought and caught !!! YOU are a professional !

Sami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to Marie-claire Gallet
Thank you, Marie-claire.

Although, I consider myself only as a little more enthusiastic amateur photographer. Most important part is to have a curious mind. I spent at least half an hour to shoot this. To get the spot light alone on the right position was a difficult task.
