Broom and Daisies

Broom and Daisies
Broom is very invasive in N.Z. but I do love its bright flowers. Broom (Cytisus scoparius) is one of the worst plant pests in New Zealand, rating right up there with gorse and thistles, and it’s likely to become the number one weed in years to come.

A lot of invasive plants (and species) are really lovely to look at...............and so of course people want to keep them............hence they spread. What a conundrum..!!

A splendid image though Eunice!

A shame that this gorgeous flower is such a scourge. We have our own, Star Thistle...but it's not as pretty imo. It is so hard to eradicate once established. :(

Still, a very pretty picture. Thank you for sharing it!

I enjoy the broom I see when walking in the mountains of central Spain and the gorse when on the Cornish coast path. I've no idea if either of them is considered invasive in either loctaion.
Fine shot!
