The first insert, the small way down to the sea, has the same fishing traps used here.
They are called "covos" and have the same "manufactured" quality, amazing !

The coastal scenery is my favourite here, Rosa, but I also really fancy some of the home made ice cream from Jakes. What a lovely pre-Christmas holiday you had.

I didn't try Jakes ice-cream, but we did have a good meal in the cafe. It was just a day visit, but with so much of interest in the area, I am looking forward to another visit.

I always enjoy seeing your images Rosa and having a tour of the wonderful beauty spots like Lulworth. It really is a beautiful coastline. The first PiP made me smile. You get used to see lobster pots and boats around the coast and to see them half way up the hill seems a little surreal.

Another lovely series from Lulworth Cove........the main image has lots to look at and enjoy. The wooden picnic benches outside the ice-cream shop, look quite comfortable but I'm not sure the "rock bench" would be..........but it'll be good for the kids to climb on :-) I like the red postbox, they're always nice to see and stand out well. A nice looking café as well.

The first PiP also has lots to look at.............fishermen's detritus and equipment is always good for a photo, especially lobster pots and buoys. The hills make a good backdrop and there's an interesting glimpse of the view out to sea.

I like the huge rock pool in the second PiP :-)) I'm guessing it fills up with water at high tide (or during rough seas and rain).

Oh yes, the rock bench might be a little too cold Keith :-) We had lunch in the cafe to the left, just out of the picture and it was very good.

Well Rosa, that is close to torture! I was lucky to stay there once or twice, but never managed to come again. We were young that time, and I had a most beautiful night at the beach there.
As soon stupid covid is swept away, the southwest will be our first travel again!
Even more than the main image, I like the two PiPs: the lobster cages and the boats are very good parts in that landscape. And the picture of the coast, with that dark green copse in that sheltered spot is just wonderful! Congrats.

I don't mean to torture Leon...sorry! We will blame Covid for sure!! I come from Dorset but this region was not well known to me until recently. I, like you, look forward to another trip there.

I have been looking at an old Beautiful Britain book to see if there was a pre tourists photo but the only one is of the rock formation. I hope your week has started well Rosalyn, it's been a sunny day but the wind was cold
