Thank you very much Keith. I kind of wish it was somewhere better than a car park, but on the other hand it is accessible to all and many visitors to the historic town will see it. Although, it's not the main car park.

Well, how ever did you find that out Keith? I do believe you are right, as I have just looked up some local history and see that William Macready does indeed have a history with Sherborne. Here is a link to what I have found.

Hi Rosa..........I googled historical figures associated with Sherborne and looked some images comparing them to the mural..........and struck lucky! It was the high forehead and odd hairstyle that made him stand out!

Certainly more interesting than a wooden fence, I've been looking on the internet but there is very little information about it you would expect a complete list of the scenes depicted. i hope you are having a pleasant evening Rosalyn

My friend and I were naming the people depicted on it as we moved along the wall Peter, but we were stumped by the one in question. I think Keith has produced the answer. I have learned something new about Sherborne in the process :-)

Thank you Roger. Guy Fawkes had a connection to Sir Walter Raleigh, but I don't quite know how, other than Raleigh had the two castles in Sherborne. I will have to look into it more.
