A lovely capture I'm surprised they are not brown by now, I like the main one the second on no to me there is not enough separation between the one you have focused on and the background, but in my mind there is no right and wrong beauty is in the eye of the beholder, enjoy the rest of your evening Rosalyn

Strange seasons Rosalyn, on one of my infrequent visits out into the back garden this morning I found a clump of winter pansies in bloom under a pile of dead leaves.

The season's aren't as distinct as they used to be, that's for sure.

Today they are edged with frost!

Some flowers manage to retain some of their beauty, even when they're dying............these seem to be doing exactly that. The colours are quite lovely and the detail is fantastic.

I quite like the PiP as well :-)

I had a wander round the garden today............but I think everything has just about had it now!

It was the last of any colour in the hydrangea.
It won't be long before the new buds begin to appear.
Have to get the frosts over with first.

It has the elegance to fade away in a nice mix of pastels. And I think you have captured his last breath very nicely, Rosa :) Personally I love the wadded up texture of the PiP, as Angelique does so well.

Cracking pictures Rosa. Mine have been completely destroyed, first by wind and rain then finished off by a heavy frost. Not sure that they will grow again this year;-((

They are pretty hardy plants Doug. I hope they do survive. I have a Polar Bear variety that looks a little sad, but I think it will be ok. Thank you for your kind comments on this picture.

Mine is completely "toasted" by the heavy night frosts close to minus 10 degrees....

Mine are also toasted now Nouchet, thanks to the recent frosts.
Ooh minus 10! We haven't reached that yet!!

Son alegres esa variedad de colores, sobre todo los rosados. Me parece bien las variaciones; lo mismo que también alternar fotos de agrupaciones florales con otras individuales.
