I expect, as for me, 1982 seems like yesterday, Rosa!

To be honest Andy, it seems like just yesterday to me as well.

Lovely memories for you Rosalyn flat caps were trendy back in the day, Lyndsay looks more like you, I'm sure there are photos of you that make you think did I really go out looking like that !!!! I hope you have a pleasant day, there is damp in the air which will be interesting on the frozen ground

She still has that flat cap Peter! Now Lyndsay is 7" taller than her big sister! Yes I'm sure there are a few that make me think that :) Cold and wet here today. Take care.

Thank you Keith. Farming was going through a very bad time financially at that time, but we always kept the girls happy and still enjoyed some great times.

Lovely photographs that must bring back memories for you and them. I can hardly remember the 1980's, I think because I was working and life changed when I retired. I was doing the Open University which I loved and I remember the miners strike as there were still mines in Fife at the time. Remember doing a puppet show for their children. I don't know who enjoyed it more, them or us.

Thank you. Yes it does Jean. I remember the miners strikes very well. In many ways it was a difficult time for us, but we had such lovely neighbours and the girls were in a great little village school, that we have mostly good memories. I bet it was you who enjoyed the puppet show the most ;-))

She must be my age dear Rosa...I had the same skirt and when I was 11 years old, I wanted to had this kind of cap and I wore white shirts and old suspenders :))))

I forgot...I still have pants from my great grandfather...felt pants, his sunday pants and I wore it until I was 30 years old :))))

I guess your grandfather's pants are what we call trousers Tanja! Pants are underwear....I can't imagine you going around in those for long....but trousers, yes ;-)) A lovely story.

Michelle will be 48 in June Tanja! I can't believe I have a daughter of that age, haha!
