A very nice looking cottage. I like the arched door and windows and the stonework is lovely (albeit in need of a little work). The thatched roof looks attractive with it's covering of moss. I notice there's still a bit of autumn colour around as well. Such a shame it's closed, it would have been warm and cosy inside.

I really like the tree roots in the first PiP.................the rain has made them glisten beautifully in the light. In the second PiP the columns are very well captured in lovely detail, but they look a bit damp and dirty at the moment and they look a bit neglected.

I found and posted some more vintage luggage pics today, as you mentioned it in your comment on my bench pic yesterday :-)

A lot of fallen autumn leaves there Keith, but most of the trees are bare now. I love it when the cottage is open. I have tried at times to take a photo of the lake from the window, but the old glass doesn't really help. It just looks nice.

You can see how misty it was beyond the tree. The columns were damp but not neglected. It may look that way because of my editing :)

Lovely series. I like the contrast between the cosy charm of the little fairy tale cottage and the grand facade with its statues and Corinthian columns. The tree is a beauty too with its wonderful bark and roots.

Las raíces tienen una gran textura, acentuada con el brillo de su humedad; cerca tengo unas parecidas que alguna vez fotografié. El edificio gótico es un contraste con la cabaña. Una salida fotográfica de provecho.

Oh this is nice Rosa. A wonderful hideaway, very well captures as usual by you. The pillard building looks great too, as well as your roots, all deserving full pages by themselves I think.

A very nice collection Rosa. That is quite some cottage, it looks like something that you might see as an illustration in a child's fairy-tale book. It certainly makes a great photographic subject. I like your shot of the tree with the semi exposed roots spreading across the ground. I love the weathered appearance of the rather grand architecture in the third very nicely composed shot, a complete contrast with the rather more rustic look of the cottage.

At least the park was still open! Our zoological-botanical gardens closed down in November and aren't expected to reopen before spring....
