Years since I have been to Sidmouth Rosalyn I guess an old town with plenty of places of interest.

It is a lovely old fashion seaside resort Maurice, and no arcades!

In my youth I heard of Sidmouth, and imagined it as a very quiet pretty little village. I see the name many times, but have never been there. Now you have confirmed my ideas of many a year! It is pretty! Thank you for sharing!

Thank you for your kind comments. It is a very nice town with plenty to see and do Peter. My grans brother was station master in Sidmouth until he retired in the late 1960's. We usually take a look at the ford and the cars going through it but didn't have time on this visit....little things.....as they say :))

Hi Rosa,

I just came across a picture in a book showing Sidmouth signalbox in 1959, with a train arriving, and the signalman taking the token from the driver. Unfortunately the stationmaster is not in sight, nor is the station.. and the signalman has his back turned.. But it just might be...!!!

I visited this church back in April this year Rosa..............there was some refurbishment work going on. It's really lovely, but I only got to see the outside!

The Dairy Shop over the road is well worth a visit...............

We didn't go inside Keith. We were looking around the graves. Will try to go in on the next visit...and the Dairy Shop :-))

Beautifully framed composition Rosa. Like the cross in deep shadow with the flowers at the base catching the available light, great work! Nice that the PiP shows the same subject but in totally different light with the fine backdrop of the church.
