il y avait un Maréchal Mc Donald qui a combattu avec Napoléon. Je ne pense pas que c'était la même famille ( peut-être le même clan ?). Il a un boulevard à son nom à Paris.

Not a relative of mine Fred. The Scottish side of my family come from the east coast of Scotland, Dundee and St. Andrews, whereas the MacDonald clan are from the west coast and isles. Armadale Castle on Skye is the seat of the clan, the remains of many other clan castles are to be found throughout the area. It is a very grand memorial, the gentleman must have been well thought of.
