Two gorgeous roses.............both captured in lovely light! The darker background in the main image makes the rose stand out beautifully and I like the way it's mirrored by the less developed bloom in the rear of the shot.

In the PiP, the yellow rose looks wonderful against the fantastic bokeh! The focus and detail in both images is spot-on! Some sun would be nice, but I think too much bright sunshine might have spoiled these.

The rose in the PiP is called Ginger Syllabub and it has been adorning the arch for years but I have never seen so many buds on it as this year! Can't wait for that sun ;-))

I think we are all waiting for the sun !!! we needed some rain but !!! it did stop this afternoon and brighten up a bit, regardless of the weather a beautiful image Rosalyn, the dull light is often better than bright sun. My Masquerade rose is flowering better than it has done for years but the flowers are all hanging down with the rain

Yes indeed Peter :) I will take more pic's when the roses have flowered properly. The pink climbing rose ended up hanging on the ground but they seem to recover very well, thankfully.

Two great takes from you Rosa. It must be in the blood :) I particularly like the soft lighting effect of the main picture. Our rose buds are now thrashed by heavy rain and under continuous attack by greenfly! Well done.
