Shiny truck..

Shiny truck..
but have a friend who sells them..
when he has one at the house prior to delivery, he gives me a call...
"want to come sit in the truck?" ..
his wife and I enjoy it every time !
will probably never learn all the parts of these massive vehicles ..

there is just something special sitting in a Fire Truck ..

My heart goes out to the people in California who have lost their homes and even their lives in the tragic forest fires.

I can speak first hand of the satisfaction of driving these machines.. I could have retired at 30 years of service but I carried on to complete 33 years with 'Sheffield UK' fire service... it was a fine career.
My sympathy too goes out to the many people involved in this tragedy in California.... it would have been like 'hell on earth'.......... Dj.. UK.

Wonderful image of the firetruck ... always have to think of just how much we rely on the training, dedication and bravery of our firefighters. With the horror that is griping California in the mass of wildfires right now ... their relentless efforts can never be forgotten or taken for granted. :)

Nice picture and fun story! I never stopped to think...there's somebody that sells fire trucks! And you know, I think it would be fabulous to sit in a fire truck. How cool that your friend realized it would be so much fun for others and made this opportunity available to you!
