As you might have noticed.. I have many "Green Men" on my trees.. and the baby sqwirls on their first outings dont know they are benign.... and watching from the window it is such a comedy till they realise nothing will hurt them !!

Perfect capture! When I was a kid, I had several squirrels that would come up to me for nuts.. My father once rescued a baby which thought he was its mother. After he let it go, whenever it saw him, it would come to him, climb up to the top of his head, and sit there. But my father was totally intolerant of them on bird feeders. Once, when he saw one completely inside one of my sister's feeders with only its tail sticking out, he yanked it out by its tail and flung it into the woods. Fortunately, neither suffered any damage, but that was one surprised squirrel! Me, I just use squirrel baffles on the feeders that I don't want them on and we live in peace together. The messy birds spill out plenty of sunflower seeds for the squirrels to get.

I don't get people who complain about squirrels.

When I was a kid, maybe 8 or 9, my grandfather looked up at a young squirrel in a tree in his backyard and said, "What are you doing up there?" The squirrel took it as an invitation and came running down the tree, then climbed my grandfather's leg and sat on his shoulder. It was the weirdest thing. They brought it over to our house, and my brother and I played with it for a little while, before they took it back home and set it free. It eventually chewed a hole in their screen door and came for visits.

Pip is beautiful Pam and it is lovely that he allowed you to get close. We have a couple in the trees on the other side of the fence bu they are very skittish and won't come near us
