Typisches Bild unserer Zeit, bei uns ist nichtmal ein Briefmarkenautomat geblieben....Klasse, dass da jemand gerade Post einwirft, das belebt das Foto!

... hab mir bei dir "Misery" ausgeliehen. Bei uns im Dorf hat das Rathaus die Post übernommen. Wir sind da wirklich glücklich dran.

I agree with autofantasia, this was well worth going to the archives for, and I liked reading your memories about the old post office. Those mailboxes reflect the "has been" atmosphere of the place.

... kommt mir (leider) sehr bekannt vor.
Hier (speziell im "Szenekiez" Friedrichshain) gibt's Parkautomaten, die derart mit Tags und Aufklebern verunstaltet sind, daß Auswärtige sie nicht erkennen, und selbst Einheimische noch Probleme haben den jeweiligen Geldeinwurfschlitz zu finden.

.. ja leider Symptom einer Respektlosigkeit gegenüber allem, die immer weiter um sich greift.

Stickers, Tags, graffiti das sind die modernen Postnachrichten ...

I take back all the critical comments I have made about the Royal Mail. Your emotive presentation about the deterioration of the Deutsche Post is both shocking and sad.
As opposed to removing this image, just the opposite should occur and you should be credited for highlighting concern of the people! Well done, Lutz!

Da waren ja echte Künstler am Werk, Lutz;-). Manche wissen vielleicht schon gar nicht mehr, was man da hinein wirft. Verschiedentlich wurden sie bei uns schon angezündet, mal kamen bei der Leerung Umschläge zusammen mit Currywurst und Pommes raus.

... da kannst du recht haben, heute muss man ja mit vielem rechnen. Und in der Schule lernt man sowas ja nicht (wenn man überhaupt hingeht und sich nicht auf eine H4-Karriere vorbereitet)

Da musste ich jetzt auf maps nach der Position suchen, den Ort hätte ich nicht mal erraten, Lutz.!

A nicely composed street scene. It is more likely that the post office would now be a pub/restaurant. over here. High street banks are also slowly disappearing.

Ausgefallenes Office, fast schon ein Kunstobjekt.
Irgendwo hab die Marken auch noch in einem Album. Ich kann mich erinnern mit 12 Jahren haben alle Briefmarken gesammelt, ist in Pokemonzeiten heute wohl nicht mehr in.

So ist es Leo, unsere schlichten Vergnügungen von damals können gegen "Gadgets" und "Apps" von heute nicht mehr bestehen :-/

Das mit der Post ist aber wirklich ein gewisses Problem. Die nächste ist U-Bahn St. Pauli oder Bahnhof Altona, das ist quasi am anderen Ende des Viertels. Und es nervt schon ziemlich, wenn man für den Kauf einer Briefmarke so weit fahren muss, dass man seine Post genauso gut auch selbst austragen könnte, weil es zeitlich auf das selbe hinaus käme.

Das mit den Stickern wiederum finde ich aber wirklich nett hier im Viertel, allemal besser als dieses ansonsten vorherrschende Einheitsgrau oder auch diese langweiligen Glas - Stahlhauskonstruktionen.
Und mit Verlaub, wer bei einem Briefmarkenautomat die Stelle nicht findet, wo er seine Münze rein stecken soll, bloß weil auf dem Automat Aufkleber kleben (die es im übrigen auch schon ein paar Jährchen mehr gibt), der, naja...

Du siehst, man kann dazu unterschiedliche Meinungen haben (was die Sticker und die "Kunst" anbelangt). Denke auch mal an Ältere, die nicht mehr gut sehen usw. Also, das "der, naja... " finde ich mit Verlaub nicht so gut.

Dazu, dass es kaum noch "Postämter" gibt, gibt es wohl keine zwei Meinungen. WAs ist mit Postfilialen?

Stimmt, das war etwas sehr flappsig und unüberlegt daher gesagt, möchte ich mich für entschuldigen. :)
Speziell, weil ich bei einem Parkautomat heute ein kleines Problem als Nicht - Autofahrer hatte und keinen Parkschein zog, sondern Kontakt mit der Servicezentrale aufnahm. Öööööhööööm. ;-)))
Ich werde in Zukunft darauf achten, mit den Stickern nichts entscheidendes zu überkleben. :p
