Pleasant family affairs all day so I had to dive into the archive :-/

Ja, das ist sie dann wohl, die Wiege der Christenheit - ich verkneif mir jetzt einfach mal, mehr dazu zu schreiben... ;-DD Aber sehen würd ich das schon gerne mal, so alte "Gemäuer" machen mich immer ganz "ehrfürchtig"!

Danke auch für die Weihnachtsgrüße, die ich gern erwidere,Dida Mir geht es ebenso mit den alten Gemäuern, besonders auch, weil hier Jahrhunderte unter verschiedenen Herren immer wieder an und umgebaut wurde. Und damals (4 Jahre nach dem Sechstagekrieg) war's da friedlich. Militär sah man selten und von Entifada keine Spur. Leider stehen sich die beiden Seiten da unten zunehmend selbst im Weg.

...und nicht nur "die" beiden Seiten, ich mein, vor ein paar Jahren haben sich doch da selbst die Priester der unterschiedlichen orthodoxen Richtungen, die die Kirche nutzen, heftig geprügelt!

...aber wirklich. Um die Grabeskirche in Jerusalem gibt es ähnliches Theater. Das nimmt teilweise groteske Formen an.
