A few of you might have seen this on Facebook last week, but I thought I'd post it here today for FF.

Happy Fence Friday everyone............it's great to be back on IP after such a long time. A big thank you to all those who worked so hard to make it possible. I hope you all have an enjoyable weekend wherever you are, but be sure to stay safe..!!

I think this is worth a look large, if you feel up to it :-)

I don't mind seeing it again Keith. It was only on the Ipernity facebook page that I kept up with the news on getting this site back working. I agree, they worked very hard and it is much appreciated.

I think I only 'liked' your pictured on fb, but now we are back, I can say how lovely it is, with his beautiful red breast, and making me feel very Christmassy! HFF.

Have a good and safe weekend.

A great fence shot here Keith. Yes, i did look large and it was well worth it. There seems to be a lot of Robins about at the moment. Always at least one in our garden but we see them on every wild walk too. As you say -great to be back here in Ipernity amongst our friends again It was like Ipernity C19 lock-down - Very well done.

HFF, have a great weekend. Herb

He looks so handsome perfectly placed in the frame. It's lovely to be back and seeing everyone's photos and hearing their comments. Great work by the ipernity team. I think we all feel grateful to them. Wish I'd thought of Facebook. I'm an idiot.

Aw, a cutie! My neighbors and I noticed a complete lack of robins this year. In fact, they have declined a lot, even though there are way fewer outdoor cats around. We started comparing notes and now believe that blue jays have been eating the eggs from robin's nests. We have found little broken, blue shells on the ground for a few years! It did not quite click until two of us mentioned it.

I remember seeing a blue jay standing on a nest in a tree this spring, looking kind of out of place. I found this in Wikipedia: "Jays are very territorial birds, and they will chase others from a feeder for an easier meal. Additionally, the blue jay may raid other birds' nests, stealing eggs, chicks, and nests." Well!

Thanks very much Diane.............glad you like this one.

Jays are a member of the Covid family.........all of them will steal other birds eggs given half a chance. It's a shame, but they're just doing what comes naturally :-)

Ha, ha. I wish!

Quite the opposite here, our area has just been moved into the Very High Risk category and more restriction have been imposed. There will be a relaxation for a few days over Xmas and we will be able to spend Xmas day with our eldest daughter who lives nearby, but then it will be just the two of us again............no seeing my other daughter or the grandchildren this year!

I full expect us to go into a full-blown lockdown again after Xmas. It is what it is, and we just have to be patient, wait for our inoculations and stay safe.

Take care mate and have as good a Xmas as you can.
