They're great Keith! Luggage is another thing that has changed over the years. Need to buy as light a suitcase as possible now, but it lacks all the charm of the ones you show us here.

Thanks Rosa.......I wasn't going to post them but after reading your comments in my HBM post saying you liked the luggage I decided too. Glad you like them.

It seems that commenting is the only thing we can do at the moment...........what a nuisance!

This luggage looks how I feel some mornings! but it's wonderful old luggage which has charm and which you have captured very well, it's a great addition to a railway platform and a memory jogger for many I suspect.

Thanks Tanja.............these ones get left out in all weathers, so they're very worn and battered. Glad you like them though :-)

Oh, what wonderful old luggage! The big trunk is fabulous! Wouldn't it be nice to know where they've been? Three excellent photos, Keith.

I think many of us have these in lofts / attics, often containing momentos from far off days, grandparents, etc. So they have a nostalgic feel and are difficult to throw away with equanimity!
you've captured them very well against the whiteboard background.

I found my ditty box (a small leather case issued to me when I joined the RN to keep valuables in) in the loft a while ago. I gave it to my Grandson who keeps all his "treasures" in it. I think it may become a family heirloom :-)

Glad you like this one Andy!
