We were just going to put this in a bag of stuff to go to a charity shop, when I thought I'd grab a photo of it first...........I think it turned out quite well..!!

Please view large, on black. Thank you.

Ernest CH, Diane Putnam, Tanja - Loughcrew, and 14 other people have particularly liked this photo

Looks great on the black Keith. Lovely bright colours and something that I am very familiar with, as I do a lot of sewing. Not in a charity shop near me I don't suppose ;-))

Oh my. How I love this, Keith. Perfect symmetry is such a favorite for me, and from above with black all around just makes it all the better. Bright and festive colors, interesting patterns and textures to appreciate too. I know you aren't able to get out but the upside is that you're getting the chance to take pictures of interesting subjects around your home. It is amazing how MANY THINGS there are to photograph when you look at it from an explorer's point of view. Especially from a macro pov, there are literally ENDLESS cool ideas. So...have fun and I can't wait to see more! :)

Thanks for your visit to my last presentation, I'm glad you liked my pictures--my main image made me happy because I'd always wanted to take one like that and finally I got a picture that ticked all the boxes for me! :) Thanks for your comments about all the shots, how nice that you enjoyed the plane in the sky and the restaurant on the water so much! :)

You wondered about the whale watching boat and if we'd thought to go. Well, yes! We thought of going from one location but when the time came, we just weren't in the mood so we passed. One thing that was a bit annoying was how expensive it was to go on such a trip--the low was about $100 US / $91 Euro for a few-hour trip. We thought it was just too much. I did find a good deal for half that, if we'd been in the mood to go. I was upset that any boat trips to look at bears and other wildlife was even more...and no guarantees. Finally, how nice it would have been to go on a fishing trip...TOTALLY out of the question at a minimum of $600 US!!!! NO THANK YOU!! I mean, I do understand that it's their living and many places are supported by tourism but it's just too much in my opinion, as disappointing at it was.

Super shot, I can feel the textures of the material and the colours pop so well against the black. I would’ve loved to have seen just one plain, large pin in it ... !!
Great shot Keith.
Are you standing up straight yet?!

I never thought of putting a pin in it............duh! Glad you still like it though. I'm standing up straight (mostly) and have even been out on a few gentle walks. Thanks for asking Maggie.

Looks like someone's patchwork project and very nicely done. I would find that hard to part with and you've just demonstrated what a good photographic subject it is too.
