Ground Ivy

This isn't an ivy leafed geranium, Keith, it's a weed called ground ivy, which has pretty blue flowers.

Thank you Amelia........I'm pretty rubbish at plant identification. I have a hanging basket attached further up the stump containing Ivy Geraniums, so I assumed that was what it was. I've now amended my title and comments.

It's a beautiful photo. The tree bark is lovely and the ground ivy too. I like the colour of the new growth.

Diese Pflanze ist in meinem Garten sehr verbreitet, aber an einem Baum habe ich sie noch nicht gesehen. Wenn man die Blätter zerreibt, duften sie wunderbar. Früher wurde diese Pflanze zur Heilung benutzt.
