Spring Snowflake (Leucojum)

Spring Snowflake (Leucojum)
These are in my neighbour's garden. I thought at first they were Snowdrops, but on closer inspection saw they were Snowflakes, although they are quite similar and just as pretty.

Gudrun, Tanja - Loughcrew, Susanne Hoy, Fred Fouarge and 26 other people have particularly liked this photo

They are just as pretty Keith. I haven't seen any like this in the wild, but would love to get some for my garden. Beautifully taken as always!

GORGEOUS, Keith! What precious beauties and fantastic details too. These little flowers are very good at tricking us at first glance, aren't they?! I'm still looking for my first snowdrop, as I don't believe I've ever seen one except in pictures. But snowflakes I have seen, and what fun it was to take pictures of these delicate, elegant ladies! At the time I too, thought I'd found snowdrops and it was only later that I discovered they weren't what I thought! (Janet's Snowflakes)

And thank you so much for the visit and wonderful comments! :) Glad you enjoyed the narrative too, it was fascinating to learn about Piddocks...you are so right...WHO KNEW?! :D)
