In 1967 aged just 17 I made a trip there all on my own from Rochdale to see it for myself. (About 420 miles each way)
I was only a casual photographer back then having a very basic camera so took very few photos. Also, I had a disaster with one film where light got in and most of the photos I took of what I had travelled all that way to see were lost! What did turn out can be seen in this album:
