Channeling the Monk 2

Channeling the Monk 2
More homage to Lionel LeMoine FitzGerald (no relation). I don't think I've posted it before, but it seems like a good complement to the one I posted a couple of days ago, which is in the PiP at upper left.

I think this looks better on black (type Z, please).

Again, I take your point about the artist and your photos, John. Good similarities!

Thanks, Andy. I'm starting to wonder if most of my photos aren't simply derivative of paintings, or inspired by them.

Beautiful. The harmonious colours and the textures of the trees. They all work so well together.

Thanks, Jean. The other FitzGerald's work can, I think, be fairly said to be enchanting, and I'm sure many others would agree.

And that's probably the reaction a lot of his paintings get, dC. Monk's backyard was a strange place.

Thanks, Eunice. I'm looking for opportunities for similar photos where I live now. Lots of old trees in the neighbourhood.

Ditto to the above -- the colors are warm and inviting, as are the trees. But then, I'm an inveterate treehugger.

Aren't you a distant relative?
John FitzGerald club has replied to kiiti club
I suppose almost all FitzGeralds are ultimately related, kiiti, but that's all I know. His family had been out of Ireland for some time; his father was born in the West Indies, I don't even know what Irish county his family was from; knowing that would help narrow things down a bit.
