That is odd, I just looked at the map. Only one tank in the satellite photo, so must be old. I wonder when this church was built.

Dedicated in 1923. In the picture on Wikipedia (below), one of the tanks is rust colored and thus not so obvious.

Interesting! I'll look again, I guess I did miss it! So, the mission was there long before the industry around it, I suppose - or, at least long before the tanks. The Wiki photo with one rusty tank is bizarre. It had to look awfully creepy with two huge, ominous figures looming over the mission. The one with both tanks edited out is great - wishful thinking!

Later...Um, no, on the map there's still just one tank from all angles. Still later...Looked on Google Earth and there is one tank. The GE satellite photo is from 2011, so that's why. I should have looked there sooner!

I just checked the Ipernity satellite view and see that it shows only one tank, but if I check Google satellite separately, it shows two.

I'm thinking the tank on the left side of the picture is a recent addition. In a photo I took in 2014 from a different angle, there's no tank visible but the tank to the right may have been there, just hidden behind the hillside: Ft Yuma Indian Reservation, CA (2296)

Geez! Confusing! Well, it's fun to exercise my powers of observation...or lack of...once in awhile. So, we can at least conclude that there are now TWO tanks. Hehe...

Anyway, it's one of the weirdest architectural juxtapositions I've ever seen.
