I simply can't process that as a temperature anyplace humans should live.

The light is really awesome, though, so maybe it's worth it in the end. And it's a dry heat, I suppose.

After awhile you get tired of hearing "but it's a dry heat", I think because it makes it seem like somehow we're exceptional -- 98 on a humid day is much worse.

That complaint aside, the humidity really does make a difference and if its dry, 115 isn't bad if you can find some shade. When it gets above about 115, the breeze off the pavement is like a blast furnace, and then it's time to stay inside.
