What a lovely monkey and what fine pictures you got of this troop. Excellent details, lighting and nicely timed images. :) I enjoyed reading about this endangered species, and I was reminded of something about my dad. Before us 4 kids were born, my mom and dad had monkeys! They had several kinds (not at the same time)--a capuchin, a rhesus, an actual orangutan, but my dad's favorite was a Pig-Tailed Macaque, whose name was Monkey Boy. Mom and Dad even took him camping with them and loved him like their own child. Sadly, he died and you know, the rest of dad's life he mourned that monkey and teared up talking about him. Thanks for bringing back the memories of all the funny stories about this clever boy! :)

A beautiful series of captures of these macaques, Malik. Sad that they are threatened in the wild, like so many other species. I particularly like the portrait in the main image and the second pip.
