Thank you very much Dave. Really appreciated. We would have been better off on a train as they were working on the road a little further on and you literally had to wait hours to get through on the next convoy, - so long there was a portaloo in place! Now that is worrying!! It did allow us to take photos here though in a nice spot where you are normally unable to stop.

I have only ever driven alongside the loch and never taken the train but it is a very attractive run Rosa. It would be nice to go by train though as you could both enjoy the scenery. We did go on the steam train from Fort William to Mallaig once and the scenery was beautiful. Many thanks Rosa and have a lovely weekend.

When I was in my early 20's I went to Scotland on holiday, and took a photo of a train running along the side of Loch Carron. I sure looks like the same spot!!

I must try and find it and check!!

Hi Peter. Many thanks and it would be good to see your photo to see if it has changed at all. On previous visits we have not been able to stop along this road so the road works were a bit of a bonus. As the next convoy through was hours away there was very little traffic so we could take photos in safety. HFF and have a good week ahead
