Mein kleiner Urwald vor der Haustür - My little jungle at the front door
Not far from where I live there is a forest that is not managed as a purely commercial forest, but where everything can grow and flourish and where dead trees remain standing as so-called biotope trees and old trees that fall to the ground are not removed but left lying around and slowly returned to the natural cycle by bacteria, fungi and insects. Forest use is only very moderate, so that in some places, as in the picture, an almost primeval forest appearance has been able to develop.
