Meeting the Mountains.
The picture shows an iron sculpture in honour of the great mountaineer Heini Holzer. It stands at the entrance to the summit via ferrata on the Großer Ilfinger (2,581m, north of Merano, South Tyrol, Italy) and can also be reached via hiking trails. The inscription: "Climbing is not a game with life, but with the mountain."

Ich schau mir die Berge allerdings aus nicht so kahler Umgebung an ;-)
Deine Leidenschaft zum Bergsteigen und dein Talent, solche anspruchsvollen Klettertouren großartig zu meistern, beeindruckt mich schon sehr, Bernhard. Das gleiche gilt für deine Frau! Auch die fabelhaften Fotos davon sind sehr faszinierend! Und doch, trotz allem Know-how und Erfahrung die ihr habt, wirkt das Klettern auf mich gefährlich und ehrlich, immer, wenn ich in den Nachrichten etwas höre von einem Bergsteiger, der in Österreich abgestürzt ist, hoffe ich jedesmal, dass nicht ihr davon betroffen seid. Ich denke, alle Gefahren und Risiken lassen sich evtl. nicht immer schnell genug erkennen und ausschließen. Ich drücke euch die Daumen, dass weiterhin immer alles gutgeht!
Ich liebe der Berge ebenfalls, genieße den Anblick jedoch lieber mit den Augen, am liebsten während einer gemütlichen Wanderung auf ausgetretenen Wegen. ;-)
Ich geb euch völlig recht. In den Bergen sind auch Menschen mit hoher Risikoaffinität unterwegs. Außerdem völlig Unkundige, die die Natur hier für einen Abenteuerspielplatz halten. Ist sie aber nicht! Ihr hättet mal sehen sollen, wie unruhig all die Schönwetter-Kletterer auf dem Gipfel plötzlich wurden, als eine Wolkenquellung heran kam. Dabei war ihr Entstehen schon eine Stunde vorher zu beobachten. Wenn man dann auf 2.500m in dichtem Nebel panisch wird, dann wird's ercht gefährlich. Ich lad euch mal ein kurz-Video hoch.
