Der Fluss verlässt sein Bett
Hier beginnt die Fieberbrunner Ache, die B178, die einzige Direktverbindung zwischen Innsbruck und Salzburg über das kleine deutsche Eck ist, zu überfluten. Kurz darauf musste die Straße für viele Wochen gesperrt werden, weil etwas östlich eine ganze Brücke aus den Fundamenten gerissen wurde. Am nächsten Tag stand das Inntal bei Kufstein unter Wasser, ebenso wie die Straße über Kössen bzw. Reit im Winkl (D).
Es war ein seltsames Gefühl, ein paar Tage lang komplett von der Außenwelt abgeschnitten zu sein, bis auf eine einzige kleine Straße, die über Fieberbrunn ins Pongau führte.
