I remember when there used to be just a narrow walkway on the north side of the bridge,
but wider walkways were constructed after the terrible tragedy in 1999.

I went out and about on a wet night, initially to see the lights in Trafalgar Square, which weren't worth seeing, and then to revisit some memories from the 80s. I was too scared to point my camera directly at the busker, so had to pretend I was filming the view. I did give him a quid for his efforts, though I'm guessing it got spent on drugs.
