Looking Back Doesn't Help!
Climbing upwards, looking back is as useless, as thinking of actions, which already are done. Look only forward and focus totally on your next step. Don't waste energy for anything else but achieving your goal. (Mountaineers Rule #14)
(Captured two years ago (in March, too) within the fixed rope route Pfeilspitzwand-Klettersteig near Mayrhofen (Tyrol, Austria). This cliff is very appropriate for early spring tours.)
~~~~~
Beim Klettern lernt man viel für das wirklichen Leben! Statt über Schritte nachzudenken, die man bereits getan hat, konzentriert man sich besser ganz darauf, was als nächstes zu tun ist. Das spart Energie, die man im Notfall möglicherweise dringend braucht. (Bergsteigerregel #14)
(Aufgenommen vor zwei Jahren (auch im März) im Pfeilspitzwand-Klettersteig bei Mayrhofen (Tirol, Österreich). Aufgrund seiner talnahen Lage in einer Südostwand eignet sich der Steig gut für erste Eingewöhnungstouren im Frühjahr.)
It worked for me! Now the only thing I'm frightened of is no more friendly photo sharing websites!
That's the reason, why I'm trying to help William Sutherland and the others to achieve a kind of turnaround at IPERNITY. (And now I'll go to sleep . . . )
