The Life Insurance

Most of the time the safeguard is only cumbersome. But while climbing, the one and only moment you don't use it, may be the last one of your life. (It once happened to my wife, that she tumbled. Im a lucky man, that she's still alive.)

Die meiste Zeit sind die Sicherungskarabiner einfach nur hinderlich. Aber der eine Moment, wo man nachlässig ist, kann der letzte des ganzen Lebens sein. (Einmal ist es meiner Frau passiert, dass sie abstürzte. Ich bin glücklich, dass sie gesichert war und nichts passierte.)

Here is the situation, where my wife fell into her safeguard - only a few seconds after the photo-shooting. It was a stroke of luck for herself and for me - but less for the photographer, who missed a spectacular photo (She hanging beneath the rock, looking very surprised....)
