Lost Keys Found

Lost Keys Found
So, our orders this week from the Mistress Wendi, who rules over The Sunday Challenge with a wand of steel, was simple: Get outside and do something: show us some water, a lake, a river, an ocean, a waterfall, a water drop on a flower .. your drink on the table.

Apparently, the possibilities were endless and so they were. Sadly, though the weather conspired against me somewhat. Strong winds and showers meant that any thoughts I had of trying to capture some silky waterfalls went out the window.

And despite my best efforts in the back garden to try and capture water droplets on flowers the weather won again ... even using umbrellas and various other props failed to keep the ghastly breeze at bay.

So, my thoughts then turned to things that would be less inclined to blow about ... things like the keys to my old Scirocco. The only problem was where on earth did I put them .... oh, there they are!

I love it, and the story too Paul, and that reminds me, I need a keychain.. We have been having rain here since forever ago, except the few nice days last weekend... I figure I need to start gathering up some animals..

Thanks for the kind comment and the fave too Wendi, but what's this about animals ... you have animals?

they didn't all freeze to death from the ice~age... I figure it's going to be hard to collect up elephants and zebra's though!

nicely done watery macro, and a lovely shade of blue; and have to say I don't there's anything more annoying than trying to do plant macros in a breeze.

Thanks for the kind comment. Yes, flower macro shots in any kind of wind are a bit of a pain. As I said above, I tried using things to shield the flowers, but to no avail. Even my umbrella kept blowing away! :(

Excellent Paul!!

Before I saw the water on the keys, I was going to say that it had to be a water cooled Veedub!!

Thanks Harriet for the lovely comment. The weather today has been better ... more like what it was supposed to be yesterday when I'd sat time aside to do the shoot ... such is life! ;)

Love it! Clever way around the weather to get your shot. The droplets intensify that blue!!! :)

Glad you like it Chris and thanks for the fave. I would have liked the water droplets maybe a tad sharper, but I was using the macro lens which has a very short DOF at the best of times.

Also, I used the manual focus, which I think you know I struggle with, but overall I'm happy with how it turned out. :)

Oh this is so good Paul and especially from someone with the name of "Autofantasia". These challenges really do get you thinking of new ways to interpret them don't they? Brilliant!

Thanks Karen and you're right they do make you think, often of new ways of meeting the challenge. That and curse, swear and get very, very stressed!

BTW, thanks for the fave! :)
