Ich weiß nicht wer der Künster dieses Grafittis ist, da sicher der neue Putz den Namen verdeckt.
Aber mich hat es ungemein beeindruckt. Es ist sehr ausdrucksstark..
Das Original:
Der vietnamesische Fotograf Nick Út* machte die berühmte Aufnahme, das als „World Press Photo“ des Jahres 1972 ausgezeichnet wurde und im Jahr darauf den Pulitzer-Preis gewann.
Es entstand am 8. Juni 1972 auf einer Straße nach Trang Bang und zeigt, wie ein nacktes, schreiendes Mädchen hilflos die Arme ausbreitet. Flüssiger Brennstoff hatte sie verbrannt. Es handelte sich um die neunjährige Kim Phúc.
Nick Út* brachte Kim in ein Krankenhaus. Sie war so stark verletzt, dass man nicht annahm, dass sie überleben würde. 30 % ihrer Körperoberfläche war verbrannt, fast ihr ganzer Rücken, der Nacken und ihr linker Arm. Erst nach zwei Jahren Haut-Transplantationen, Operationen und Therapie konnte sie nach Hause zurückkehren.
Heute lebt sie mit ihrem Mann und Söhnen in Toronto Canada.
1997 gründete sie in den USA die „Kim Phuc Foundation“, die sich für medizinische und psychologische Hilfe für Kinder einsetzt, die Kriegsopfer wurden. Später wurde daraus die „Kim Phuc Foundation International“.
