Thank you so much, Isabel! Without Covid I would just have returned from Iceland... It would have been good to escape the heat but right now I'd rather travel only virtually. I have booked Greenland for next August- I'll see how things develop until then.

I'm keeping an eye on developments, I can cancel until 31.01.21 at only 10%, after that it starts getting expensive. I'm not going anywhere if there's a risk. Iceland is also closing down again (meaning a long quarantine).

Tausend Dank, Berny! Da waren damals ziemlich viele abgebrochen... Dieses Jahr habe ich den Island-Urlaub schon Anfang März storniert- die Pisten, die geplant waren, wären auch teilweise unpassierbar gewesen wegen des Regens.

I have even seen masks worn like a hairband or as an arm ornament...Yesterday I used public transport for the first time since February, not an experience I am keen to repeat, even though I wore a N95/FFP2 mask....

Naja, ich hatte vor 2 Jahren mal so einen etwa monatigen Rheumaschub! Ziemlich massiv. Seither nie wieder. Der Arzt meinte es könnte wieder kommen oder auch ein einmaliges Ereignis sein. Hoffen wir mal, letzteres.
Ist zwar was anderes, aber da spürte ich auch, was es heisst, plötzlich ziemlich eingeschränkt zu sein....

Ich freue mich auch darüber, dass du wieder da bist, aber Arthrose in den Händen ist nicht so feierlich. Hast du zu viele Eisberge in den Händen gehabt? Dieser hier ist ja gewaltig und zum Anfassen sicherlich ungeeignet. Erstaunlich, dass du überhaupt so nah herangekommen bist. – Jedenfalls ist das Bild große Klasse.

Die fahren dort auf der Lagune mit stabilen Booten relativ dicht ran, aber das Tele hat die restliche Distanz überbrückt;-)
