Herrliche Bilder von diesen bunten Vögeln, Gudrun. Aus dem ersten Bild bin ich zunächst gar nicht schlau geworden, es sieht so aus, als ob das Auge am Hinterkopf sitzt. Ich habe solche Vögel noch nie gesehen.

Danke vielmals, Volker! Die sind nur zur Brutzeit so schön bunt, da sind sie zum Glück morgens und abends an Land bei ihren Bruthöhlen und lassen sich fotografieren. Den Rest des Jahres verbringen sie auf See. Papageienetaucher findet man im Nordatlantik, sie leiden aber schwer unter dem Klimawandel, weil die Sandaale, die sie bevorzugt fressen, immer rarer werden bzw. weil die Makrelen immer nördlicher vorkommen und die Sandaale wegfressen.
