Wasserschloss (PiP for this year's photo)

The Sunday Challenge (TSC): something that used to be something else

So called "Wasserschloss" was built in 1905-06 (probably by Bernhard Georg Hanssen and Wilhelm Emil Meerwein) as lodging and workshop for dockworkers whose job was servicing and repairing the hydraulic winches which were needed to lift goods into the tall storehouses.
Nowadays it houses a tea shop and a restaurant.

Hamburg Speicherstadt and Kontorhaus district was awarded UNESCO World Heritage status in 2015: whc.unesco.org/en/list/1467

Wir hatten gestern übrigens noch einen tollen Sonntagnachmittag und- abend! Schade, dass es nicht Samstag schon so war, aber es war trotzdem schön!

Danke, Dany! Wir gehen da vernutlich nicht mehr hin zum Essen, es war nicht alles so umwerfend. Mit mehr Leuten ist es sehr schwierig, viele Lokale wollen keine Gruppen oder verlangen einen hohen Mindestverzehr pro Kopf...

Das ist leider nicht mehr so, wir hatten schon beim Treffen in Hildesheim das Problem, ein Lokal zu finden! Letztes Jahr in HH beim Portugiesen war sehr gut, aber wir mussten 2 Stunden auf unser Essen warten, weil deren Küche so winzig war. Darüber haben wir die blaue Stunde verpasst.

Herzlichen Dank! Das SW ist in erster Linie der Tatsache geschuldet, dass mir die Farben überhaupt nicht gefallen haben- dazu kamen die Strukturen und der Himmel in Mono viel besser raus:-) Das PiP ist ein Jahr später und abends, da kommte ich den Farben nicht widerstehen....
