Danke, Dany! Nein, Bäume gibt es da überhaupt nicht, das ist am Rande des Salar! Als Brennnholz wird ein kleiner Busch (Baccharis, Tolaheide) genutzt und als "Holz" das Innere von abgestorbenen Kakteen. Häuser bauen sie aus Salzblöcken, das Dach ist mit Wellblech und Gras (paja brava) gedeckt.

Besten Dank, Maik! Das Klima an und für sich ist angenehm trocken mit starken Temperaturunterschieden zwischen Tag und Nacht. Was zu schaffen machen kann, ist die Höhe- ohne Akklimatisierung dort hoch ist keine gute Idee;-)

Vielen Dank, Berny! Das Haus hat später noch eine Treppe bekommen, ich habe neuere Fotos auf Google Earth gesehen... Die Bolivianer sind notgedrungen Meister im Improvisieren und Reparieren, unsere Fahrer lagen auch ein paarmal unter den Landcruisern;-)

Worüber ich richtig baff bin, sind die runden Bögen am Fenster und Tür. Hätte ich so nicht erwartet. Die Absturzsicherung des Wagens ist natürlich auch vom Feinsten :-))!

Herzlichen Dank, Uwe! Die haben sich da beim Bau richtig Mühe gegeben;-) Die "Steine" sind übrigens alles Salzblöcke -dieses Baumaterial gibt es vor Ort reichlich.
Die Holzaufbauten bei den Lastwagen habe ich öfter gesehen, scheint wohl auch landesüblich zu sein;-)

...tja, ich hab auch Waschtag - schnell ne Ladung in den Trockner geworfen, jetzt kann ich Fotos gucken... da wird einem bewußt, wie bequem wir's doch haben!

Die Rostkarre wäre so schon ein Hingucker, mit Wäscheleine und Salzhaus perfekt und die PiP's sind auch klasse, besonders das s/w!

Herzlichen Dank, Dida! Wir sind schon verwöhnt- hab zwar keinen Trockner (und vermisse den auch nicht), aber ohne Waschmaschine wären wir alle doch ganz schön aufgeschmissen! Das war zu Zeiten unserer (Ur-)Omas mindestens ein Tag Schwerstarbeit...
