Half Moon Lake
And cows. Carson-Iceberg Wilderness, Sierra Nevada, California, between the Disaster Creek and Pacific Crest Trails. One of the bell-bearing cows is visible to the left of the foreground tree. Again, grazing was grandfathered into this wilderness area, and the cows wear bells! The lake itself, in case you were wondering, is on the far side of the meadow. The inset shows a slightly different view--I wasn't sure which one I liked better.
