Caples Creek

Just off the trail to Lake Margaret, north of California State Route 88 (the Carson Pass Highway), Sierra Nevada, California. Late fall colors--this area is now under a couple of feet of snow, and (barring drought) will get lots more before spring! It's just across the highway from the Kirkwood Ski Resort.
