Jean de Reszke by Benque

Jean de Reszke (1850-1925); Polish tenor who created the role of Rodrigue in Massenet's opera "Le Cid" (1885). He was the brother of the bass Edouard de Reszke (1853-1917) and the soprano Joséphine de Reszke (1845-1891).

On the photo he is seen as Roméo in Gounod's "Roméo and Juliette".
