Leonore Robinson by Bieber
Leonore Robinson, born Leonore Hahn Edle von Hahnenheim (1844-1918); Austrian (mezzo-) soprano.
She studied singing at the Conservatory of the Society of Music Lovers in Vienna from 1865 to 1867. She made her debut at the Wiener Hofoper in 1869 and went on to sing at the Stadttheater Hamburg. In 1870 she married the Austrian baritone Adolf Robinson (1834-1920) and accompanied her husband on his guest tours of Germany and to Amsterdam, London and the USA, where she performed at the Metropolitan Opera New York. She excelled in lyric and dramatic roles. Their two daughters also had singing careers: Ada von Westhofen-Robinson (1878–1914) and Louise Robinson (1884–1934).
On the photo she is seen in the title role of Goldmark's "Die Königin von Saba/The Queen of Sheba".
