The path down to Pink Moors.

The path down to Pink Moors.
In other words my occasional walk to the pub for my swift half and then a quick return to cook supper!

Thank you, Herb. Yes it may be Hawthorn. It's only that I remember collecting great basketfuls of sloes along this path in years long since gone!

I remember quoting a line from Schiller for one of my mediaeval history university exams. I can't remember it very well even in English, but it related to the chaos, starvation and lack of law in the times after Frederick (sorry, Friedrich!) II Hohenstaufen. Something about 'these terrible times, these frightening times', but as I say, it's long gone from my memory banks!

I smile inwardly as it is the sort of thing I do all the time. A memory nurse came today and assessed my Mum and I heard all the well-crafted questions and I just knew that if it were me wot had to do it, I would fail spectacularly!

I've been through that process with both of my parents...........I do worry about my memory sometimes (but only when I remember) :-)

What a great name "Pink Moors". I should think you deserve that quick half pint before you go back to do the cooking.

I also have to come back up this path (see previous photo) so I get some exercise too! Thank you, Jenny!

Well, let's say a pint, Jenny ... but never more than that because I think it's civilised to have a glass of wine or two with a meal and as I'm diabetic, alcohol really should be had in moderation, if had at all!

In England I've always ended up living 10 minutes walk away from my local, which is just about perfect! This is about 15-20 minutes away but it's OK as I need the exercise! Thank you, Roger.
