Hospital de Maudes, catching the last of the sun (best on full screen).
The first free hospital in Madrid, funded by a consortium of religious foundations and designed by the famous architect, Antonio Palacios. With the builder, Joaquín Otamendi he built many iconic Madrid buildings of this era (1910-1925). Now it is government offices. It occurs to me that this was completed (1916) just in time for the virus pandemic(s) of a few years later!
This is just around the corner from my flat.

Thank you, Jean. Yes that is exactly what I saw on my regulation 1 km walk this evening! (As from Monday we can walk as far as we want and where we want, within the province. And the parks should re-open, but we'll see! As a high risk individual on at least three counts I will still consider myself to be on Phase 0 for some considerable time to come!

I think you are right. I'm thankful to be in Scotland just now where restrictions are being lifted more slowly than in England but, even so, I and most of my friends are being cautious.

Exactly, José Manuel. I am interested in that Palacio's work (which I like) is firmly rooted in a style that was perhaps more fashionable in the rest of the world up to about 10-15 years before. And which the First World War killed off ... but not here in Spain!
