El primer depósito elevado, Madrid, Calle de Santa Engracia. In fading evening light.
The first raised water tower in Madrid. In use 1911 - 1952, Now an art gallery and exposition centre. Original construction (and still owned) by the water company Canal de Isabel II. Architects Luis Moya Idígoras and Ramón de Aguinaga.

I download the Times so I catch up with news from the UK and compare with Spain.
As of today, in Spain and the UK, there seem to be rampaging murderous youngsters sticking their fingers up to life. I have not been so dispirited nor full of despair since the start of lockdown ... and this is far far worse.
What I wouldn't give for a cup of tea and a slice of cake in Shaftesbury right now!!!!
So strange not to see the cafe open on Gold Hill, but the bakery in town were offering take away drinks. Take care and have a good Wednesday.
