View over the plateau of La Castilla Nueva from Cancho Gordo. In the very basic Google editing tool that I am reduced to using these days, I couldn't reduce the amount of sky. I didn't want a 50% horizon line but anyway here it is!

Amplio paisaje, supongo que con una focal muy abierta.

Mi cabeza rechaza el smartphone para las fotos, y mi iPhone me rechaza a mi como fotógrafo.

Ha Ha!
Well, I won't take an SLR into the mountains. I do too much scrambling among the granite boulders and it would easily get damaged!
Anyway, I don't have one (apart from a 1970s Pentax ME with lenses sitting in a cupboard in Cornwall, sad and unused these past 30 years).

Lovely detail in the foreground rocks and rather a nice sky too.

Thank you, Jean!
And I think there's even a Griffon vulture soaring around in there too!

The light is often good in May. If I went back there in July, the horizon would be all smog and murk from Madrid, which is just out of shot to the right.

Beautifully composed and captured in great colour and depth. I don't mind the great expanse of sky - it suits these vast open landscapes very nicely - and at least you have some fluffy clouds!

Andy Rodker club has replied to Keith Burton club
I just wanted a less half-way-up kind of horizon but I see that the clouds compensate in part.
Many thanks, Keith!

To my eyes the horizon's fine, Andy. The perspective in the clouds and on the ground makes for a fine impression of depth.
