Autumn in La Sierra de La Cabrera
Canchos Largo and Gordo dominate the skyline.
Encinas (holm oaks) change colour rather later than other trees and as they are the dominant deciduous tree species over much of Spain, autumn colours tend to appear a little later that you might expect - late November to early December, on average.

Thank you Herb. Actually, Autumn is very late here. We hope for some autumn colour in the next few weeks, but not just yet and if I am lucky with my work timetable I might plan to get out there! Once or twice a year isn't good enough. It used to be twice a week - and I got back to fitness as a result, now I'm turning into a sedentary slob :o(

I agree that they are unusual but there is very little editing here. This is how it was, I can't explain it except to say the autumnal light was 'mellow'!
