I'm sure Poseidon is very angry. Are those white spots on the water pieces of plastic?

We have ruined our planet and our seas are a disgrace

Poseidon will have the last word when the sea level rises.

Poseidon, god of all waters, earthquakes, soil and horses. Like the white horses breaking on the rocks. He tends to send storms and earthquakes as punishment. We're seeing more storms so perhaps we'd better get our act together before the earthquakes arrive. First step, each one of us should cut down our use of plastic and complain about packaging wherever possible.

If he's not furious about that, he's probably deceased by now. There is an article in Nat Geo, titled something like "Planet or Plastic?" I haven't read it, but I assume it's time to choose which we'd rather have. :-(

Glad people are talking about it; the first important step is awareness of the issue

...not maybe but really...also everyone who has some environmental awareness should ask himself whether he does not also bear a share of blame...

I knew when I mentioned plastic it would start a thread allowing people to air their views. Good! The more people that become aware of the problem the better!
