Storm imminent

Storm imminent
Sierra de La Cabrera. I did get back to the bar just in time, which was the important thing!
Full screen gives one 'the only way is up' incentive!
If averagely fit, you get to the summit in about 45 minutes from here. I actually find that coming down takes only marginally less time - say 35 minutes - due to the powdery, unstable nature of the rough paths; these are always easier to ascend than descend!

Dimas Sequeira, Diane Putnam, Annemarie, Fred Fouarge and 8 other people have particularly liked this photo

It's spectacular but not difficult to get up, Keith - there are some half-decent paths! (Not easily visible from below but very clear from the top). Of course, if you choose to take on the challenge, then there are rockier ways to get around here! :o)

Um, Andy, the full screen did not give me an "only way is up" incentive at all ! That does not look like a safe place in a storm!

Of course not, Diane!!! Far be it for me to encourage reckless behaviour in this litigious age!!
:o)
I was referring to the location and scenery in general. Perhaps I should have made myself clear in my notes!

Threatening sky above the mountain crest! Time to retreat: slippery paths and no thunder protections become an unfriendly combination.

Thank you, Dimas. As it happened I escaped that time but the threat and risk is always real.
