I remember that day when John Lennon was murdered so well. As The Beatles were so prominent during my teenage years, I was devastated. This is a beautiful picture Tanja. The lone tree is so beautiful against the superb sky and dark foreground.

I remember this day so well Rosa, though I was only 10 years old...the Beatles were "at home" in our live and their music accompanied us (it still does!)...it was a cold day and the rain froze on the streets and there was a sad mood everywhere...

One of my favourite "lone tree" images ever. I love the way you've composed this so that there is nothing to distract the viewer from the tree. The silhouetted branches, with the back-lighting are beautiful. I really like the sky is well..........it's dramatic, but still leaves the tree as the star of the show.

Die feinen Zeichnungen im Himmel finde ich richtig schön.

Genau um den Baum herum leuchtet der Himmel am intensivsten, das ist schon fast mystisch. Dieser Baum steht für das von Dir zitierte Lied, in diesen unwirtlichen Zeiten hat er seine Blätter abgeworfen, um sich aus diesen im nächsten Frühjahr zu noch größerer Höhe aufzuschwingen! Ich wünsch Dir was!

Oh Gott, ich kann mich noch genau an die Nachricht dieses Tages erinnern. War ein totaler Schock - bin mit den Beatles sozialisiert worden - und Lennon war der Superstar schlechthin. Ich war fassungslos und dachte, die Welt bleibt stehen, wenn es ihn nicht mehr gibt.
