The One Tree
Another capture of this, the tree that started my photography hobby off. Sitting on the edge of Dove Stones reservoir, here we see it on a misty day full of wondrous light. In the fictional books by Stephen Donaldson; 'The Thomas Covenant Chronicles' the 'One Tree' was the Salvation of the Land. Looking at this, one can easily imagine the same.

Herb Riddle club has replied to Roger (Grisly) clubI think I read the books you've quoted above years ago. A quote that stuck in my mind (assuming it's the same books) is "In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king".
Herb Riddle club has replied to Keith Burton clubThere were six books in the main story here. A fantasy set in another similar Earth-like world. I can't remember that quote in there but my memory is not what it was. The quote itself originated from 'Desiderius Erasmus: “In the land of the blind'.
